About Leather by Lif
A saddler who understands the horse's movements, anatomy and learning.
My name is Annika Gustafsson Lif. I am a horse trainer and a certified saddler, educated at the renowned Saddlery school in Tärnsjö. Being able to combine my two greatest passions in life — horses and craftsmanship — is a true privilege. I divide my time between my wonderful leather workshop and working with horses, either at home or at clients’ locations, and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with creating something for someone that will be used for many years.

Sustainability in both senses.
Sustainability has two meanings. It refers both to a product’s ability to withstand the wear and tear it is exposed to, and to the broader perspective of avoiding unnecessary waste by repairing rather than replacing items. I accept repairs and alterations for anything related to leather. It is difficult to provide fixed prices here, but I usually estimate the time required in advance, then start a timer when I begin the work, stop it when I am finished, and charge 300 SEK per half hour, including 6% VAT, for the time spent.

When you choose a product from Leather by Lif, you should feel confident in your choice. My goal is to create craftsmanship that will last for generations. Should something not meet your expectations, I always strive to resolve it in the most smooth way for you as a customer.
Horse training and holistic thinking.
My background as a horse trainer and instructor in reward‑based horse training influences everything I create. With a deep understanding of equine anatomy and the importance of proper fit and function in equipment for the horse’s performance and well‑being, I am driven by a desire to help people find the gear that gives both horse and human the best possible conditions to understand one another.
